Family sailing holidays are a perfect holiday for young children, teenagers and parents alike. Each family member can choose whether they want to play an active part in sailing, constantly doing something or equally do nothing at all and relax on the bow of the boat while ready a good book. Once in port or at anchor the more active family members can explore the new surroundings on land or by snorkelling around the boat while the rest of the family can either relax on the boat or at a local taverna.

Sailing is an incredibly safe holiday. All our boats operate under strict regulations, this includes lifejackets and safety lines on all boats.

What if we don’t all want to sail?

If not everybody wants to go sailing we can organise a beach holiday where you can choose to either get on the water and choose from an array of boats, including dinghies, catamarans and yachts, or you can choose to explore the stunning local area, or you can choose to just sit on the beach and relax.

Best family sailing holiday location

The best place for a family sailing holiday would have to be the Ionian Islands with its quite protected waters where you are never more than 20 minutes from a safe haven. Other destinations include Athens in Greece, ideal for teaching all members of the family about the great Greek civilisation. If you’re after a great mix of archaeology and culture you will find Dubrovnik a great delight.

Learn to Sail Family Sailing holidays

If you would like to learn as a family we can arrange for a yacht charter with a qualified instructor to join you. The instructor can either stay on board or if you’d like to have a more private evening the instructor can leave you alone on board at night.
