Dinghy and Keelboat Courses
Dighies and Keelboats are largely regarded as the best route into sailing often being quick and easy to learn in.
In a dinghy or small keelboat you can do nearly anything; from simply messing around on the river, sea or lake discovering little bays and inlets to racing round the cans at one of the hundreds of clubs around Britain and indeed the world. The RYA has spent decades developing its sailing scheme to help participants develop their new skills quicker and with greater ease. Below is a break down of the RYA’s National Sailing Scheme, but as ever feel free to call or request a call should you have any problems.
Youth Beginner Courses – Specifically designed for 16s and under, the quickest and easiest way to get young people onto the water and sailing! Emphasis is put on fun and enjoyment while introducing new things at a rate specific to the younger learners.
Adult Beginner Courses – Similar to the Youth Beginner Scheme the Adult Beginner scheme is the ideal way to get into and develop your sailing skills. This has been adapted to specifically help over 16s learn to sail.
