Also known as the Essential Navigation and Seamanship course, this course is designed to provide you with a brief introduction/refresher to navigation and seamanship for complete beginners and rusty sailors alike.

Course Content
This course covers topics such as the charts and publications, tide awareness, planning passages, pilotage, rules of the road, weather forecasts, buoyage, anchoring, engines and safety at sea.
How the Courses Can Be Taken
This course is conducted in a classroom either over two intensive days or over a period of 5 evenings.
Ability after the Course
This course provides you with enough knowledge to navigate around familiar inshore waters by day.
The Next Step
Once you have completed your Basic Navigation Theory course, we recommend you move on to your Day Skipper Theory.
What To Take
You will need to provide a 2B pencil and sharpener, an eraser, paper and a pen. A calculator is not compulsory but can sometimes be helpful.
